Parent of the Month - March 2016
Josh Greene - Fort Collins, Colorado
nominated by Rebecca Rambo-Greene
I've always known that Josh is an exceptional man. He's smart, funny, authentic and incredibly caring. Adding a third child to our family has been incredibly hard on me. In the beginning Josh held the family together cooking, cleaning, caring for all of the kids and also catering to me while I recovered from birth. He did all of this while working a full-time job that did not offer any paternity leave and he did a damn fine job. Around four months postpartum I became an unrecognizable person as postpartum depression and anxiety took over my mind. I can only imagine what it's been like for Josh to watch me struggle. When I realized I needed more help than just a good support network Josh jumped into action. He walked into his work and requested two months of leave and made it clear that his family came before his career. Fortunately his request was granted and he stepped into the full-time role of parent while I devoted all of my time to self-care and therapy. He hasn't complained once, he hasn't expressed how unfair any of this is and best of all he still loves me. His live saved my life and I will forever be certain that I married the perfect man for me.
While this nomination in no way pays him back for all he's done, my hope is that it gives him the recognition he deserves, but never asks for or expects. - Rebecca Rambo Greene
